Traxx @ The Shelter, Saturday 9/20

Traxx plays The Shelter in Shanghai on Saturday, September 20thIt's getting later in the month, which means it must be time for another Void techno extravaganza at The Shelter. Continuing the "Techno Pioneer" theme from Robert Hood's slamming set in June, this month the boys are flying in Traxx for a nonstop four-hour set of house & techno insanity.

As a self-described "artist of sound," Traxx is single-handedly responsible for inventing the "jakbeat" sound – a turbo-charged take on old school acid and Chicago house for the 00s put together with the unmistakeable tones of classic analogue gear such as the TR-909, TR-808 and of course the TB-303.

Traxx released on numerous labels such as Gigolo, Muzique, Relief, M/O/S, Crème Organization and Crème-Jak under different monikers such as Xxart, Saturn V, X2, The Green Goblin, Dirty Criminals and some more. He has collaborated with James T. Cotton, DJ Hell, Green Velvet, D'marc Cantu, Mount Sims, Legowelt and many more to shape his unique
definition of Jakbeat.

Traxx definitely falls into the "larger than life" category and his sheer presence behind the decks is an experience in itself – Void guarantees an evening of pure dance floor mayhem and an atmosphere to match.

Saturday September 20th: Traxx plays The Shelter, located at 5 Yongfu Lu near Fuxing Xi Lu (永福路5号,近复兴西路). 50 RMB gets you in the door starting at 10 PM. Shanghai_Ultra, Nat Alexander, and Fish open.
