While it is shameful and criminal that the government and the companies involved did not heed warnings or provide any oversight and allowed this problem to become such a catastrophe, the ultimate blame lies with the milk suppliers who added the chemical to their milk in order to boost their own profits. They knowingly sacrificed the life and health of thousands of people for their own greed. Shameful!

i agree -- the permanent deconstruction of NANHEYANGROUCHUAN. i am in Shanghai, it is reported Bright milk is safe here. so i trust. do not go panic. everything will be fine soon. but, i donot like the comments when CNN reported this news. as a news agent (who called themselve most trusted media???) during news presenting, the news presenter should only say the fact, and fact only. To make any irresponsible comments, is a very unprofessional behavior!!

wowwowwow, out here in HKG, Mengniu is more expensive than Aussie and NZ brands. Why? Because Aussie and NZ milk sucks, and Japanese milk cost thru the roof. LOL! If the HK government says it's good, I trust them. Afterall, they did point Yili out.;)

Hong Kong tests yesterday revealed 9 Yili products contaminated. Over 30 Mengniu milk products were tested today and cleared with no melanine contamination. That's good news, because it means I can continue to drink my favorite milk by Mengniu (since I have quite a few cartons stored up). Can't drink those Oz/NZ milk which have no taste. French and Japanese milk OK too. But US, Oz and New Zealand milk sucks.
