Autumn is officially here, so if we're packing away our summer wear, we may as well pack on a few pounds as Dunkin' Donuts first branch is opening in Shanghai this week!
We reported the planned opening of "less than ten" DD's earlier in the year, and now Marc van der Chijs has had the first preview bite at a branch on Fuzhou Lu near Hubei Lu.
And remember- you only go there for the coffee.

How much is the coffee at Dunkin'? And when are they opening in Shenzhen? I really want good coffee around here.
I had gone to a Dunkin Donuts on Nanjinglu, just west of the Park Hotel, back in 2003.
I always felt sorry for the staff, who had the ugliest multi-coloured uniforms, including shoes.
I took some of the tray liners back to laminate into placemats for my niece - I think there was a charming solar system of doughnuts.

It's about time. When I lived in Shanghai last fall, I was disappointed in the lack of Dunkins. When I traveled to Phuket, I went out of my way to find a Dunkin Donuts since I missed it so much when I lived in Shanghai.
Good riddance to Krusty Kreme, they pale to Dunkin' Donuts in variety, taste and coffee.
As if we need concrete proof of the evil and misguided ways of mr. lamb skewer. Good riddance to Krispy Kreme? His evil knows no bounds.
Remember that the coffee is ok but the Boston Cremes? Divine!

You wouldn't know a doughnut if you were a cop with 25 years on the force. Those air filled Krispy Kremes have no taste, texture or substance. I pretty much eat off of the part of the doughnut with the frosting and chuck the rest. But with a nice fry cake, I can savor each calorie and fat laden morsel. Not to mention how much better maple and strawberry taste with a real doughnut. Then there are the custard or apple pie filled...

I'm rubber you are glue and compared to Dukin' Donuts, Krusty Kremes are a distant #2.
While neither hold a candle to Kingpin Doughnuts at 2am, I still maintain that Krispy Kremes are mad yummy and nothing your cumin flavored brain can think up will change that. Nee-ner, nee-ner, nee-ner.
Is Kingpin some local joint? Doesn't count. But I'll see your Kingpin and raise with Mighty Fine.
And you probably think In-n-Out is the end all be all of fast food.

Just came back from there and I was told the the opening is on November 18th.
Tried Big Apple donuts in HangZhou, taste so good.
