Think you finally found the perfect Halloween costume this year? The outfit that will put all others to shame? Then come down to Shanghaiist's Halloween Party on Friday and prove it to us.
Our generous friends at Sherpa's will be sending in a skeleton crew of judges from 9pm to midnight (the prime witching hours) to run our inaugural Halloween Costume Contest. The top male and female costumes will each win RMB 1,000 worth of Sherpa's credit. Runners-up can drown their sorrows in a case of Brooklyn Lager from Sherpa's (not a bad consolation prize). (Winners must be present — in costume — at midnight to claim their prizes!)
The party details:
- What: 3rd Annual Shanghaiist Halloween Party
- Where: The recently embiggened Shanghai Studio, 1950 Huaihai Zhong Lu, No. 4, by Xingguo Lu (淮海中路1950弄4号,近兴国路). Should be more space to move around down in the dungeon this year!
- When: Friday, October 31, 9 pm until really, really late
- What to expect: Scary music, scary movies, scary costumes ... and wonderful alcoholic beverages (and free pizza from Dr. Oetker!)

Our advice: Skip work this week and make getting your costume together your job.
See you Friday!
