BBC, you're so creative! I don't think anyone has ever seen an attempt to deflect criticism from China by drawing an imperfect parallel to Iraq before. Did you come up with that idea by yourself? And it is amazing how it has suddenly removed any spectre of blame from the Chinese government. I agree with Money. I had the same reaction when I read about this in the paper days ago. Big-talking rebel leader = no action for the time being.

Laurent Nkunda has no role in the actual government of Congo so your title is a bit misleading. Rebel leaders have the luxury of saying things they have no control over, reexamining this agreement with China is an example of such.
