Jeans Team interview

Here you go, Shanghai. A short interview with Jeans Team, one of the hottest electronic duos in Germany, who will be playing two shows this weekend. Check them out at the MOCA tomorrow night or head to the infamous STD parties, at Logo, where they will be getting the masses into a frenzied lather.

We should put the obvious questions out there...first time to China, any expectations?
No. But let's see. We are totally open to see what is going to happen here. We love traveling and are very excited to be here now. It is very nice especially after touring the US for 3 weeks.

So what can the Shanghai crowd expect from your show?
Well. We are a German Technopop Band with all german lyrics. And we love to transfer as much energy as possible. It is dance music what the people should expect.

Jeans Team? Does the name have anything to do with an erotic pants fetish or what?
No. We found a huge neon sign hanging on a corner in Berlin. We liked the idea of finding a name and filling it up with new content.

We hear that Berlin has an interesting music scene, compared with other major cities around the world how do you think it compares? Best city for Jeans Team?
Puh. I think it is a very special place. All kinds of different people move here. And it is very nice to live there as a musician. The rents are not too high so there is not so much pressure to earn money all the time. That gives us more time for our music. It is the best city for us so far.
