Saturday: International Rules Football, Shanghai vs. Shanghai

Sorry for posting about a Saturday event so late on Friday, but we spent all day looking for an Australian slang version of "craic." We're still looking. Anyway, if you're looking for a live sporting event that doesn't involve rackets and famous people, you might want to head out to the British International School's Nanxiang campus tomorrow:

The Shanghai Saints GAA and Shanghai Tigers AFL will be holding their third and final game of International Rules in the 2008 series on Saturday 15 November 2008. The clash is the final installment in the annual series and another round in a historic rivalry between the two clubs. These games are always fiercely contested and will display the best of AFL and Gaelic Football in a game of combined rules drawing on the skills, speed and sportsmanship of both sports. In the final showdown for the year, we expect a thrilling clash between the sides!

What's International Rules football? Well, it's a cross between Australian rules football and Gaelic football. What are those? Follow those two links we just posted.

They also say there will be "Cheap Food & Drink" and a "Kids Jumping Castle," so there is something for everyone. It also looks like you can get free transportation to the pitch, so really you have no excuse not to go. Here are the shuttle bus details:
