Yoko Ono coming to Shanghai

yokoono.jpgFrom November 23rd through December 15th, Ke Center for the Contemporary Arts will be hosting Yoko Ono's first ever solo exhibition in Shanghai. Called Yoko Ono-Fly, the show will present the artist's diverse work from throughout her long career. Ono herself will be at the exhibition opening, which takes place on the evening of November 22nd at 7pm (and which requires advance reservations). And according to the press release, there is more publicity coming your way:

Running alongside the presentation of Ono’s work in the Ke Center gallery spaces, the exhibition events will be spread throughout the city as well. Yoko Ono's 20 FLY billboard ads will be spread throughout the subway system in Shanghai during the month of November, while her Instruction work will be placed in different venues around city in galleries, restaurants, bars, shops, and so on.

Rumors that she's MC-ing the Yoko Ono Wet T-shirt contest at Bon Bon after the opening still need to be validated.
