Ticket prices are already way reasonable compared to prices in many traditional F1 venues.

Transportation out to the track has been available every year since its inception, though this year it actually cost a bit but still...

I like the Monster truck idea though... :)

I reckon another way to increase attendance might be to have some sort of Monster Truck that goes around the circuit.
Crushing the puny F1 cars in its wake leaving a trail of diesel soaked carpocaylpse.

There were about 5000 guys in my section hawking earplugs, among other things. If you paid more than very little, you weren't trying very hard.

I think if they improved service (concessions, transportation links, ease of purchasing tickets, etc.) they'd see a decent jump in attendance. Obviously dropping prices would help as well.

I hear that if you forgot to buy earplugs (essential due to all of them noisy cars) before you went in, they were on sale for a very reasonable 8,000,000RMB

There are also extreme weaknesses in the concessions area. The food stalls near our stand were completely out of all food and beverages by 1pm or so--two hours BEFORE the race even began. Utterly absurd. Great day for the guys outside the gate, though. They made a killing passing food and beer through.
