Just simply means that Chinese businessmen have no scruples who they sell weapons to - just as US businessmen have no scruples in who they sell weapons to; just as German, French, etc... businessmen have no scruples who they sell weapons to. This would only be newsworthy if the China made grenades had malfunctioned, caused the terrorists to develop melamine kidney stones, or had been obvious fakes/copies of a legitimate brand. Otherwise, nothing new to see here...

El jefe, of course I know this site is for China and Shanghai. The reason I am here is because of my Shanghai connection! I used the FARC and Abu Sayaf angle here to illustrate the dumb post here, which have no relevance except to imply that China somehow is involved in the Mumbai attacks. As for the word, Paki, excuse my ignorance, I leanrt the word from Indian blogs. My apologies to my Pakistani friends, should they be feel offended.

Please stop pulling facts out of your derriere unless you have credible proof. I have been to INDIA and I actually have a home in Shanghai, unlike many folks who post comments here. Both countries are so different and they compete in different industries. Militarily, India cannot pose any threat to China, due to geographical reasons. India already have a multitude of problems, such as the ingrained caste system, a huge percentage of children that are malnourished and several active insurgencies. India is also home to the second highest casualties of terrorist attacks. India knows it must tackle these problems than be a threat to China. You confirmed the intent of this post, which is to imply that China has a hand in the attacks. Unless some solid facts are established, you are just a bloody LIAR. Yup, let's blame the US for the Abu Sayaf outrages, because their M16 carbines are made in USA. LOL!!!

BBC, you don't seem to get the point (and neither did eastman back in the glory days) that this site is about China, not Manilla, not Venezuela, not Colombia. It's not about the FARC, either. If it bothers you this much, can't you go write about it on a site that deals with these issues? Btw, you should call some from Pakistan a Paki and see what happens.

China's nearest threat is a rising India, that is why the base at Gwadhar exists and why there is a highway from Kashgar/Urumuqi to Gwadhar. It is for the PLA to surround India by sea and land. China must be permanently deconstructed, the sooner the better.

Total BS, the only reason this was posted was just trying to scapegoat China. Unless there is solid evidence showing that China deliberately supplied these grenades for the sole purpose of carrying these attacks, then the post is irrelevant. Should the Gothamist post articles about M16s being in the hands of Abu Sayyaf FARC everytime when hostages are taken or a bomb goes off in metro Manila? Direct Pakistani involvement is not even being established at this moment. Even Western press are questioning this scapegoating tactics! HA, BBC, don't you realise how incredibly transparent you guys are? "Could be planted by the NED/CIA." Yeah, just cut and paste that phrase from any Wu Mao Dang-infested forum. Don't bother analyzing the actual details of any particular event; simply blame "NED" (the newest enfant terrible of the wu mao crowd). Hmm...by your logic, the Longnan riots, Ningbo riots, and latest Guangdong riots are certainly the work of this nefarious NED. Interesting how if Lhasa turns into the streets, it's a "riot" with 2000+ arrested. If Longnan citizens in the tens of thousands attack police officers and burn buildings and destroy tons of cars and people die, it's a "protest" with 30 arrested. All of these incidents are simply the result of public dissatisfaction, not outside-funded terrorism; yet the "NED" is accused where convenient. Yet at the same time, actual terrorism is being funded by Beijing.

BBC's reaction was predictable. It's what happens when people read what they want to into news rather than reading what the news reports. Neither this post nor the article says that the grenades that arrived in India did so with the support of the Chinese government. You can't even read that between the lines. Chinese grenades = Pakistani involvement = substantiation of the charge that Pakistani extremists are involved. What's your problem, BBC?

Plenty of computer records, examined by other S. American intel agencies, verify that China's latino buddy Chavez has long supplied weapons to FARC and given them refuge in venezuelan territory. China's fingerprints are over the borrowed sword it lends to terrorists to hurt the US and India.

There is no implication that China in any way supported these folks, neither by Kenneth nor by the people quoted. This is a site about China, this is a huge news story with something related to China, so it shows up on the site. CIA? Do you also wear an aluminum foil hat when you are thinking?

Another stupid post by Shanghaiist. The Colombian FARC is routinely seen toting M16 rifles and American grenades. Abu Sayyaf is also armed with American weapons. So does America support terrorism and ledt wing guerrilas? There are many reasons why they have those grenades: 1. Could be planted by the NED/CIA. 2. Stolen Paki supplies. 3. Afghan Mujahedeen cache (since the US bought a lot of AKs and grenades from China to arm the Mujahedeen in the 80s. Remeber, Bin Ladin was a CIA operative). The US also arms the new Iraqi and Afghan armies with Chinese equipment. 4. The Chinese version of the AK is a very popular collectors items for regional Indian officials, does that mean the Indian officials re supported by the Chinese? As for the lamb shaslik, please provide evidence before you crap.
