No beans, no rice, fork and knife on the side. Um, the burrito mamita does have beans and rice. (and it's 55 kuai) Consider me a sucker then - either that or find me a place in Shanghai that does do carnitas.

No beans, no rice, fork and knife on the side. It's not an authentic burrito, it's stewed meat inside a burrito shell. While it's pretty good for what it is, I think a complaint about prices is legit. 35kuai for a shot from an 80 kuai bottle of tequila? 12 kuai for a Diet Coke? 65 kuai for a burrito that nobody would pay $5 for in the US? Anybody who goes regularly is a sucker.

@T as many a bitter commenter has pointed out, I'm the one who complains about the prices more than anyone, so maybe that's why it just feels like a lot of complaining.

food may be good, but i have trouble with them calling themselves a "taqueria" when they charge 35 rmb for a qingdao. Be prepared to pay for its uniqueness.

I was there on Saturday, thoroughly enjoyed it. Word is spreading fast about this place though (and you're part of the problem Eric- shame on you). Is there any more seating round the back? I predict queues forming out of the door by next weekend.

The carnitas is oh so delicious. You forgot they also have carnitas guisado. I've already been 3 times in 5 days. But I heard there was a guy who was there every single day since opening.
