<description>&lt;p&gt;He should because China is too important. Since we consume the most energy, we should form our own cartel and set a price we are willing to pay for oil. We need to get together on the global economic mess and China needs to bring its power and influence into a much bigger leadership role.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<description>&lt;p&gt;I don&apos;t think so.

Given this year&apos;s record in China with human rights, failed Olympic compromises and tainted food scandals it will be more of a backlash to Obama.

It would look more like a kowtow than anything else.

It could have been different, not much would have been needed to achieve it. 

A lost opportunity.
