SWITCH ON - Electronic sounds and visuals from Switzerland and China

Today the SWITCH ON electronic music gathering lands in Shanghai at Absolute House. This showcase event has become the talk of town amongst the 'alternative' electronic music community for the last few weeks. SWITCH ON is a project organised by DJs living in Switzerland and China and backed by the Swiss Arts Council, Pro Helvetia. With 4 live acts and 5 DJs, SWITCH ON will debut in Shanghai this Friday (Dec 12th).
An extensive programme of crossover projects rooted in experimental electronic music and cutting edge dance music. SWITCH ON’s major focus is the interface of sound and visuals: abstract tones, rhythmic grooves and video, which merge in various combinations to stretch the limits of audio-visual experience.
Due to the support from Pro Helvetia, this event charges only 60RMB on the door and yet features 9 acts, all pioneers in their field. This is a 'must-go' event for all those who are into electronic club music. If you want to read more about those performing here are some suggested artist links (where available).
