Bryanboy, the campy, witty, bitchy Filipino fashion blogger who says he's "so gay I sweat glitter" is in Beijing right now. While in the Jing, Bryanboy has been tramping around town in his Dior moon boots, visiting posh hotels, shopping at American Apparel and Uniqlo, visiting haute couture exhibits, and molesting cute boys. With so much to do, it's no wonder Bryanboy's blogging activity has been light, but he did take some time off to educate his readers on what Chinese toilets look like. Baboosh!

This week in Shanghaiist

"The Jing." Is that like, um, "Shangers," dude?
Foreigners affecting their own pet names for Chinese cities, and/or their districts and landmarks, based on played-out popular western slang is truly cringeworthy. Next, reporter Tan will be calling Beijing, "The One-Zero"; Shanghai, "The Two-One"; and Lanzhou, "The Nine-Three-One."
Dear Reporter Pandt, are you so out of touch as to not realise "the Jing" has been affectionally used by all and sundry in the China blogosphere and the Beijing expat mag scene since time immemorial? You've probably been away for too long. And, oh, by the way, if you haven't realised, this is a blog, not the New York Times, and we love ignoring and breaking every asinine rule imposed on us by journalistic snobs.
Huh, someone called?
OH MY GOD!!!
I'm not kidding, but that guy in "cute boys", I know him!!!!!!! he was an exchange student in sweden and lived where i live (he's french) and we parties together. And I know he lives in beijing now.
