Welcoming the New Year a tad prematurely, a fireworks stall on a busy Xi-an street ignited, setting off a chain of explosions that went on for about 20 minutes, burned up at least seven cars and reduced about 100 meters of similar fireworks stalls to ashes.
The reason behind the fire is still unknown. Some reports say that a vendor had carelessly ignited his own booth when showing off fireworks to customers to generate sales. Other witnesses pointed to a mystery man who set off the explosions on purpose. Either way, it's a good reminder that fireworks are fun, but dangerous. With New Year celebrations approaching, make sure safety's a priority. Source: Netease (Chinese)

Well, that's heck of a rave party.
