people don't have a choice when distributors like Wal Mart force their suppliers to ship from China, period. The protectionism with low level products helps to destabilize China by getting more of the lowest socio-economic bracket out of work. bwaaaaahahahaahahahahaaaaa!

This kind of protectionism is just disgusting. If someone wants an American-made flag, they can buy one. Why can't people choose for themselves? And yes, I'm sure the friend "just happens" to be a union leader. No connection between that and his desire to pad his job at a cost to everyone else's wallets.

eastman, you've made a lot of tasteless comments - but this one takes the cake. Are you really this much of an asshole, or did you need to take some sort of a course? As for me, I've gotten more use out of my 50 kuai Made in China American flag than any other 50 kuai thing I've ever bought. It's been waved for two straight weeks at the Olympics, on Election Tuesday and at the Inaugeration Party.

seems american are learning from chinese who just banned the much demanded tibeten flags made in china. i guess to ban the chinse made bodybags is next meaningful step for usa, though it would be a pity since the very bodybags are so elastic that two rotten marines could be filled into one, for a nicer media exposure. god bless america!
