Then you probably already know about the “Twestival” which will be held in over 175 cities around the world - including Shanghai - to raise money for charity: Water, an NGO that brings clean water to developing countries. The Shanghai version will be held at Kakadu. 100RMB will get you a drink, some food, and other drink deals. Goes from 7:30pm to 10:30pm.

As a starter to the night, check out Cinderella: The Pantomime, which is playing at Dulwich College in Pudong. British director Zsuzsi Lindsay and a talented crew of expats, students and local Chinese English learners will be reenacting the famous fairy tale with added in sing-a-longs to famous pop songs. 2/3rds of the proceeds will go to various charities in Shanghai. Adults are 120RMB and children are 60RMB. Starts at 7pm.

After indulging in family friendliness, head over to RMBananas... er... Daft-er Party, we mean, for some not so hidden, not so secret, and definitely not so scammy fun. Shanghai djs Bananas will be playing a mix of hip-hop, electro, mash up and funk. Starts at 10pm at Shelter, with a 30RMB cover.

If you missed Cinderella on Friday, it'll be playing on Saturday... twice! Catch either the matinee at 2pm or the night show at 7pm. Still 120RMB for Adults and 60RMB for children.
