@ BBC

I wonder what sort of combo of drugs and fake paperwork Beijing will use to get Chinese drivers to the head of the pack.

  • Dextrum

evidently Sao Paolo had few brick walls.

  • BBC1

It will just be a matter of time before Chinese drivers dominate world auto sports. Ayrton Senna learnt his skills driving through Sao Paolo's crazy traffic.

  • what was strange in this post is that you are supposing that we have read the linked article - linked at the end of the text - to know what is the point of it all.

    I propose the title:

TAXI DRIVER

  • T

Elaine's the editor now, so why would she focus on Arts and Entertainment.

    Anyways this was entertaining.

The Fast and Harmonious: Bai Ling is NOT in this movie.

  • EL JEFE

    Haibao's got Shotgun

  • gaijintendo

    Fast and Furious: HellBund

    Simon, fuck off.

  • Hi Dan

I never really comment on entries but felt compelled after reading/watching Elaine Chow's latest "Arts/Entertainment" post.

I really enjoy Shanghaiist and for the most part find this blog to be the most informative way to keep up with everything in Shanghai. Really there isn't anything that comes close in Shanghai, or China.

But to see posts like "fast and furious" is lowering your blog to others around China (that "smack" of tabloidism) that have displayed everything from suicides to dog fights.

Please, please don't follow this path!

It's sensationalizing something that you don't have to do. Please leave that to other blogs and keep your extremely high standards.

At times there is a point to showing illegal activity, (like the amazing photos of the WFC whilst under construction)but try and keep Elaine focused on Arts and Entertainment.

    Regards

    Simon

    Simon-

Not sure if you've been noticing if you even DO read this site, but readership has increased and there's actually interesting comments from different commentators. Not all are interesting or relevant (i.e. your comment, which could have been easily emailed privately). Both of which are a good sign that Elaine's been keeping with the entertaining AND informative goals of the Shanghaiist.

I think Elaine's been doing a great job. Keep up the good work. Don't let the man (Simon) drag you down.
