Sorry, this might be a stupid question: What is there to do at the Expo? Do you buy a ticket to go buy more things? I don't understand.

900 RMB for a seven day pass. Here's some better things to do in whichever week that is with the same money to really help Shanghai develop culturally. Instead of going to the expo do ALL of these on the same 900rmb in one week: Go to one or two indie music gigs, any style(around 30-40 a ticket), buy the CDs there to support. You can also get the band's CD via 0093's Taobao shop. Surf neocha.com for locally based indie artists. Browse their work, contact them and then go see their stuff for real and buy something. I've seen Popil's stuff up close twice, it's amazing. Hit a small chain or independent clothing shop like The Thing and get a cool t-shirt to commemorate the week. Donate what you have left to one of the many charities working in town like Roots and Shoots or whoever. That's sounds like a great week and all your money went to good places, directly benefiting people who make our lives better in our own community.
