Oasis Bros interviewed by That's

Oasis_in_shanghai.jpg
So by now, everyone knows the gig is off, presumably because of Oasis' pro-Tibet leanings. But before we learned that the British brothers wouldn't be performing on our shores, the editrixes at That's Shanghai managed to get an exclusive interview in with them - separately. If it really was because of the Tibet issue and not just finances, the Chinese government really ought to read the piece and change their minds.

Select quotes from the article:

Noel: “Times of crisis usually bring out the best in music, fashion and politics…I hope the financial crisis gets a bit worse; at least we’ll get a few good albums out of it.”

Helen: Do you think [Noel] is a super human being? Do you think he’s a genius?
Liam: Yeah.
Helen: Would you say that to his face?
Liam: Would I say that to his face?
Helen: Yeah
Liam: No. I’d say he was a genesis.
[Baffled pause]

Honestly now, can you imagine anyone taking anything Noel and Liam have to say about separatism and independence seriously?

Nice interview, it wasn't exclusive though. Here's a link to the CW one:

Definitely check out Liam's thoughts on Mao.
