Neocha webzine 'Blow Up 5' shows off Shanghai creative types' homes

blowup5.jpg Neocha, a social networking site dedicated to 'connecting China's creative communites', has just released the fifth edition of their webzine Blow Up. The 'zine, a flash-enabled interactive venture, operates under only one tenet: that the webzine can only be composed of "100% original creative works put together specifically for Blow Up".

This current issue looks especially interesting and according to 56 Minus 1,

The main theme for Blow Up 5 is “十宅记” or “10 Homes.” We visited the homes of 10 young creative people in Shanghai from a wide range of social and economic backgrounds. In doing so, we asked each of them to choose 10 objects in their homes and tell us why they are important to them. We documented the visits with pictures and interviews, and even got everyone to draw a map of their home. Good fun.

After reading that, don't you just want to compile your own top ten list of important objects? Doesn't it also make you wonder why mess never looks quite so delightful and artistic when it's in our homes?

In any case, download Blow Up 5 here.
