Battle for amusement park supremacy: Monkey King vs Mickey Mouse

One of China's most popular folktale heroes, the Monkey King, may be preparing for an epic battle with Mickey Mouse's empire. Shanghai officials have suggested that it might be building a new theme park in Shanghai based on the classic Chinese novel “Journey to the West,” which recounts the exploits of the mischievous Sun Wukong, or Monkey King.

From Xinhua:

It would create a children's wonderland with the spirit of Chinese culture and endless fun that would be as popular as Disneyland, [Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference member Zhao Lihong] said.

The theme park could be a rival to the proposed Shanghai Disney theme park, which Shanghai and Disney representatives have been discussing for the last decade without coming up with any finalized construction plans.

We don't know which animal demigod will win out financially, but lets examine their strengths if we were to put both in a cartoon-based death match:

• Monkey King, as the legend goes, is capable of shape-shifting, cloud-traveling, and can turn each of his hairs into an object or another being.
• Mickey...can magically control brooms.
