Vivian Hsu is, not was, huge in Asia - Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong. There are few young men who don't know her. She remains a major figure in the Asia entertainment industry, just recently presenting awards at the Asia Film Awards. She's the model for Chanel, Gucci, HangTen, and Biotherm, was the female lead in a NineWest sponsored mini-series, and an accomplished lyricist having written for many others including Jay Chou. Shu Qi did a few Cat 3 films but was hardly a porn star, though she did have one very revealing photoshot.

I don't think the red flag is adequate for at least 3 of them (Vivian Hsu, Shu Qi and now Gong Li) ! Shu Qi wasnt a "porn" star, it was just film showing her running (naked...ok) on the beach,

Christy Chung was GIANT - for about 5 years in Hong Kong, every. single. subway. station. had giant pictures of her plastered all over the walls, as she shilled for a number of products (if I remember correctly both Chow Sang Sang and Marie France Bodyline among others.)

Vivian Hsu was huge in Japan, a mainstream success. The group was called Black Biscuits. Check 'em out
