<description>&lt;p&gt;WiFi restriction does still stand, but a compromise is in the works. China may allow WiFi on handhelds if they also support the China-developed WAPI. Two standards on one chip.

I&apos;ve never understood though, why are laptops allowed to support WiFi in China but not mobile phones? &lt;/p&gt;</description>
