Those polls are scary but I'm glad that people like Zhang Beichuan and Ruby Yang are at least making efforts to highlight the issue. The Blood of Yingzhou District was heart breaking.

Pirx dude, I went to school with a girl from South Africa who claimed that some believe that sex with infants cures aids by transferring the virus to the infant. I heard of the "virgin cure" but I always thought the infant thing was sort of a myth. Little did I know...

As long as hospitals reject treatment of AIDS patients, horror stories of social rejection are circulating and support groups being treated like enemies of the state, the readiness to undergo testing may remain very low.

In terms of treatment, China is lagging way behind.

But In terms of prevention, anyone in China who wants to know about HIV/AIDS can get information with very little effort. Condoms are literally available at every corner, in washrooms, hotels, bars, everywhere.

I would even say, in China anyone who does not know actually does not want to know.

China is way ahead of certain other nations, where believes are that a healthy male can't contract HIV or that intercourse with virgins could be a cure for AIDS.
