SCAA Pets of the Month: Luke and Leia

This week's Adoptable Pet from Second Chance Animal Aid, Shanghaiist's favorite adopted animal charity.

Name: Luke (white) and Leia (three color tabby)
Age: five-and-a-half months
Health: Leia is very healthy. Luke is deaf and has a slight wheeze due to an earlier infection. Both have been vaccinated, though not spayed or neutered.

Story:

We were found abandoned in a rubbish bin when we were just hours, old. Our eyes and ears were firmly sealed shut and we looked more like hamsters than kittens! Our first foster parents dutifully bottle fed us around-the-clock for weeks. Our new foster parents adore us and we have even won over their big cat, who enjoys watching us run around the house and jumping on things...

As abandoned newborns who didn't receive highly nutritious mother's milk, we were susceptible to infections. But after some medicine and PAW vet care, we're doing very well. We are extremely friendly and never met a stranger we didn't like. We're also very, very playful. Dangle anything in front of us and we will pounce!
