Shanghai says Disney deal still up in air. What else is new?

disneyland-0108.jpg With all that whining and wheezing earlier this year, you would've thought we'd reached a resolution by now. But even though Disney is pulling resources out of Hong Kong, it still hasn't committed fully to putting them into Shanghai - and it's hard to tell who's fault it is.

Shanghai government officials said yesterday that there was still no final decision for building a Disneyland in Shanghai. According to Shanghai mayor Han Zheng, the government and Disney and been “dating” for over a decade but there was no timeline for “getting married.”

Well frankly, if you're not sure if you're "getting married," STOP TALKING ABOUT IT. You're like that annoying friend who just never shuts up about her "super cute boyfriend" and "OMG, I don't know if he's the one - he hasn't been doing so well financially but he's got a famous name and he's good with children and what should I do? But don't bother answering me because I'm not going to take your advice anyway; I'd prefer just to BORE YOU TO DEATH with my stupid, repetitive, thinly-veiled daddy issues."

Seriously, Shanghai. By this point it's almost like you want to torture us with Disneyland non-news.
