Hong Kong actor turned scandalous sexy picture taker Edison Chan has braved death threats to promote his new movie, The Sniper, in public - despite being a “little bit afraid.” Edison, who appeared in public in Singapore on Sunday gave AFP a bunch of quotable quotes:
"If I say I'm not fearful, I would be lying," the 28-year-old told a packed and tightly guarded media conference at a hotel in Singapore."I'm a little afraid but I have to do what needs to be done (to promote the film) so I hope everyone will welcome me and watch my movie," he said, referring to the crime thriller "The Sniper" directed by Hong Kong film director Dante Lam.
...
"I hope to be able to continue (working) in the Hong Kong movie industry but I'm taking things slowly for now," he said. "I will be brave to face whatever mistakes I've made."
He was surrounded by about 20 security personnel, including four uniformed private guards with handguns. The AFP said that there were no visible signs that Edison was wearing a bullet proof vest.
We commend the actor on his amazing courage. In these tough times, it's good to know that nothing will stand in the way of Edison and his mediocre acting career - not the humiliation of dozens of women, and not threats by the Hong Kong triads. Nope, not even golden bullets mailed to TV stations will stop us from seeing the eventual release of an Infernal Affairs VII. We can't wait.
