Podunk museum award again goes to the Shanghai Museum of Natural History

Sure, we already gave it a first visit last year, but this is a museum that virtually commands us to try it again.

Did anything change? Does it still look like it's in a state of permanent decay? Are the displays still unintentionally hilarious? Inquiring minds need to know!

Well, we decided to take another trip back this weekend and the answer is... in short, yes, the Shanghai Museum of Natural History is still the jankiest museum in all of Shanghai. And this time around, we have more pictures to prove it.

A helpful hint for potential visitors: the best time to go is a weekday afternoon because there's a high likelihood that you will be the only visitor in the Museum, and for a city known for congestion and chaotic crowds, the 5 RMB fee for an hour of tranquility amidst the smell of formaldehyde and shoddy animal displays is practically the best deal in town. Tell your friends.
