If you’re not already suffering Midi-fatigue, the latest installment in this year’s festival soap opera series has arrived courtesy of the Midi school – who’ve done us the favor of posting the proposed lineup for the Zhenjiang festival.
In addition to top Chinese bands such as Subs, TOOKOO, Reflector, Muma and Third Party, and old-timer Cui Jian, there’s also a host of Canadian rockers as part of the Transmit China program including Jets Overhead, So Called, and The Stills. You can take a look at the whole lineup here.
One thing we can’t help but note is how low down on the schedule some of China’s best bands are. Subs in the fifth slot on the Friday? Surely as one of the best live acts in the country they deserve to be higher up than that? Another thing that seems a little odd to us is the sandwiching of local folk-rockers Cold Fairyland amongst a day of metal bands.
Still, it’s a solid, if not massively exciting lineup. Is it enough to get you on a train to Zhenjiang for three days?
