Foodelicious promises delicious food

foodelicious.jpg We really hope all this great weather we've been experiencing this past week is going to hold up until the end of May, because we plan to be spending the entire weekend of May 29-30 outdoors at the Lujiazui Central Green for the inaugural Foodelicious, a food and wine event that aims to be the signature culinary event for all of Shanghai. From the press release:

Foodelicious is a fitting food and wine event for China’s most dynamic city: big, indulgent and fun. This celebration brings together more than 60 vendors in Liujiazui Central Green, the largest green space in Shanghai’s futuristic business district. Restaurants, suppliers and distributors of fine food and wine will have their wares on display, enticing Foodelicious visitors to sample literally hundreds of delicious foods and wines from around the world.

A quick glance at the committed vendor list tells us that conglomerates Nestle and Heineken will be camped out next to the likes of local favorites Bella Napoli, T8, and Kaiba; so the event indeed promises to be a diverse experience for Shanghai foodies and casual observers alike. At 35 RMB a ticket, maybe we'll go even if it's rainy.

Foodelicious festival: 11AM-8PM, Friday May 29 and Saturday May 30, Ticket price: 35 RMB. Not-quite-ready-for-prime-time website at: www.foodelicious.cn
