Pay water, gas, electricity bills online with Taobao

paying-bills-on-taobao-7.jpg Paying off bills here is as easy as going to a convenience store with some cash... but in case you thought even that was too much of a hassle, Shanghai's one of the few cities in China that also allows you to pay online. How? Taobao, of course.

And not knowing Chinese isn't an excuse to not do it either. Those wily minxes over at Taobao Field Guide have done us the honors of translating, step by step, what you need to do to never worry about a late bill again.

All you need is a computer, your bill in hand, and the will to devote one or two minutes towards the monotonous act of being a responsible person.

P.S. All this works if you're in Hangzhou too
