Where we're going this Sunday: PAUSE

pause.jpg The Captain's Hostel isn't just a place for enjoying Bund-like views with (relatively) cheap beers or for picking up tourists, oh no. This Sunday they're hosting the always brilliant PAUSE. These free, non-profit collaborative events with the cream of the city's creative talent have been running since 2005 and are always unmissable. This Sunday's is no different.

So what can you expect? T-shirts and posters from some of the best local designers, live graffiti and street art, tattoo artists, and even a magician. As if that didn't sound cool enough, the whole thing will be soundtracked by a host of top DJs and performers.

Electronica/d'n'b whizz Meng Qi will be down from the capital especially for PAUSE and Thai dubstep maestro DJ Dragon will be flying in too. Then there's electro-grunge from Reptile & Retard, Shanghai's own IDM expert B6, minimalist man Ben Huang, crazy Tibetan/reggae style live mix ups from the Uprooted Sunshine crew, queen of jungle DJ Siesta, a DJ set from the brilliant FREE The WAX people, (deep breath) plus a whole load more.

What more could you want on a Sunday afternoon?

Free! 2-10pm. 6F, Captain's Hostel, 37 Fuzhou Lu, near Zhongshan Dong Yi Lu, 福州路37号,近中山东一路
