I appreciate the effort and the sentiment, but seriously... how hard is it to learn how to pronounce the only three Chinese names that he needs to know?
Also, Chinese people had "never seen TV" 15 years ago? That's ridiculous and a bit condescending (unintentional, I'm sure, but still...).
