Photos: Up From The Underground screening

Daedalum Films hosted a screening of Up From the Underground, a documentary short about the Shanghainese band Hard Queen at CANART this past weekend. A regular of Yuyintang, Hard Queen infuses a happy-go-lucky attitude into their songs without being too precious about it. The movie chronicles the days leading up to the release of Hard Queen's EP, "Holiday", and explores what it means to be an independent musician in Shanghai.

A trailer of the movie can be found at daedalumfilms.com. For Hard Queen's music go to hardqueen.com.
