SCAA Pet of the Month: Picasso
This week's Adoptable Pet from Second Chance Animal Aid, Shanghaiist's favorite adopted animal charity.
Name: Picasso
Age: 8 months
Health:Great, no health problems. Picasso has been vaccinated, wormed and neutered.
Ideal Home: A quiet home with patient adopters who have lots of time to spend with Picasso and perhaps another cat friend that he can play with.
Story:
He was around 3 months old when he was rescued from the campus of SAS Puxi. Students from the school found him, brought him to PAW and collectively donated to SCAA to make Picasso a foster cat. Thanks to the efforts of SAS Puxi students, Picasso escaped a fate that unfortunately befell on other strays wandering around the campus (not, perhaps, the most family friendly story).
Picasso was very timid at first, so SCAA had to invest time and effort to see if he would overcome his extreme shyness and become "adoptable." Thanks to the patience and effort of his foster parents, he is now much more comfortable around humans. In fact, he may demand cuddles 24 hours a day!
His foster parents say he also loves to chat, and will meow about his day to you when you get back home.
It might take him a period of time to settle in to a new place but with some structure, time and patience he will come around and make the most wonderful pet for someone
