Climate Change: China in Action

Climate Change: China in Action, produced by the China Meteorological Administration and featured on the always excellent China Green is a short film that documents efforts by the Chinese government, as well as NGOs, scientists and corporations to address climate change:

In 2008, China’s State Council Information Office published a white paper entitled “China’s Policies and Actions for Addressing Climate Change.” The document, composed of eight chapters, explains China actively participates in global efforts to address climate change, earnestly observes the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Kyoto Protocol, and plays a constructive role in international cooperation on this issue.

Perhaps because it was released by a government-friendly organization, there are parts that seem a little propaganda-ish. Still, it's worth a look.

A pile of BS, China's efforts at addressing climate change involve blaming the West and chest thumping about mandatory massive GHG reductions for western economies and free money for developing countries like China despite China being only the third nation with a manned space program.

Bad China speak with forked tongue.
