Music Video of the Day: Jewelz & Charlie - Spacer Woman 2009
Jewelz' brand new treatment for the Italo classic "Spacer Woman" by Charlie from 1983. Shot by Jakob Montrasio with a Sony Cinealta PMW EX1 on a cold day in Shanghai in Tianzifang (Taikang Lu), along the Bund, Nanjing Lu, Xujiahui and Lujiazui.
The song is pish, but I really liked the video. Well done Jakob. Dug the subtle effects on the faces and water. The Sony Cinealta PMW EX1 seems like it's a pretty sweet camera.
She's supposed to be high on drugs. At the beginning a little bit, and then more and more, until it's too much and she collapses in the end. :)
Can't you tell by the first person visual effects, where everything is effed up?
Wow, as an exercise in inducing sea-sickness this video is ace. I had to stop it halfway through. Seriously if you played this in a movie theater half the people would be throwing up in the aisles.
All the swaying back and forth seemed pseudo-artsy, and the video was just some robot zombie chick walking around in front of Shanghai's postcard views. So I have to say I didn't think much of the video. But maybe if I had never seen Shanghai's tourist attractions I would like it.

Thanks. The EX1 rocks, but now there's a new kid in town (the 5D with manual controls). Can't wait to shoot something of value with that one ;)
Is she supposed to be a zombie or a robot? I can't tell, I'm sober.
What is this video about? Just some robot chick frying in SH? I can't tell, I'm sober.

With you on that Money, way to ruin a great track.
I think it rocks. But I just did the video dude.
Anyway, this si the video version, the dance version is "harder".

EX1 video quality seems good.
LOL!
Did you see CLOVERFIELD? That was sick. I am at least stabilizing my shots. ;)
