It looks like sometime earlier tonight, almost all Google services stopped working in China. Now, at least Gmail's back up, but anything on the google.com domain is still inaccessable, though Google.cn and Google.uk are still able to be used. According to Herdict, Google works only one out of every six tries, and the blackout seems to have affected all parts of the country. Nobody's sure why the government has decided to hate on the G-ster, but it's got to be insane how many businesses and people this move affects.
UPDATE, 12:16am: And it looks like Google is partially back up again? Is the Net Nanny testing some new equipment, we wonder?

NICE ONE ELAINE, gettin' some O.T. in. way to stay in tune, love.
using freedur.com to access google but hopefully this block will go away soon.
Did you try turning it off and on again?
It's back on now.
Google and Gmail have been working fine all day and evening.
I've been working on something research heavy and have had no problems.
There is nothing wrong! Just because something doesn't work on your computer doesn't mean the world is ending!
Google.com and Gmail is still not accessable here.
All working for me again this morning. A nice google alternative in case the block comes back is www.gmbmg.com. It will search Google and strip out the affiliate links.
