Chinese people sleeping at wangbas

Ah, this takes us back to when we were just wee High School kids running amok in Shanghai. After a night of partying, one of our crew realized he had nowhere to go back to, since the person whose house he was supposed to be “sleeping over” at had left hours ago. The rest of us being female and 17 (with somewhat conservative parents), couldn't offer him our couches.

“What are you gonna do?” we asked, worried. “Do you need us to stay out with you til morning?”

“I could steal some white drunk guy's wallet,” another chipped in. “We could probably scrounge enough cash for a hotel room for you.”

"No, don't worry about me. I've got 20 kuai, I'll just go to an Internet cafe for the night," he responded. "They've got drinks and food and Starcraft. I'll be fine."

While that's probably not exactly why these folks have been caught snoozing it up at various wangbas around China, it sure is nice to see things that remind us of our silly, carefree (slightly shifty) childhoods.
