Here’s a slightly more creative proposal than just that whole on-bended-knee-with-diamond-ring deal: A man in Jiangsu set up a huge billboard to propose to his girlfriend of two years, according to Netease. The proposal was a great success and the happy couple picked up their marriage certificate the next day.
This billboard is at the corner of Yangpixiang and Hongwu Lu in Jiangsu with height of 6 meters and length of 10 meters. On the red billboard, Mr. Liu wrote “Marry me Lulu! ” in both Chinese and English. A smaller line of Chinese under it said:
“Today is our two-year anniversary of love; this is because of our chemistry and destiny! Today, I propose to you in such an original way; I just want to say, our creative life has just started.”
Although the billboard has just been up for 3 days, people in Jiangsu have started taking pictures with it – especially girls, who think Mr. Liu’s move was very romantic and creative. Yet some older people were concerned about how much money Mr. Liu spent on this huge billboard just to propose.
To our surprise, because of his social networks, Mr. Liu did not spend a penny on the advertisement fee. Who says the happy endings don’t exist anymore?
