As much as we'll sometimes snark on the World Expo, it's sure to present anyone who displays anything there a crapton of foot traffic. So if you're a photographer, the Shanghai Corporate Pavilion's offer is probably worth considering.
Much like our Photo of the Days, the SCP is hoping you'll submit photos of Shanghai daily life to "The People's Archive" on their website, www.expo2010scp.com. Right before the opening of the Expo, selected images will be featured on LED screens, billboards, touch-screen posters and so on around the city. Some selected photos will be incorporated into the Corporate Pavilion's "Dream Cube" as well.
From their press release:
The People’s Archive campaign features an ongoing series of imaginative and fun assignments related to the Dream Cube’s themes. These include “What’s your favorite part of Shanghai?”, “Color it green,” “A whole new angle,” “How does Shanghai celebrate?”, “Make a portrait,” “Construct Shanghai’s future,” “Celebrate Shanghai’s youth,” “What flies over Shanghai?”, “How do we communicate?”, and “Outside eyes.” Detailed instructions can be found on the campaign section of the official website
So yeah, go to the website and get the chance to show off your works. And if any of your stuff makes it to the final Dream Cube, be sure to tell us. We'll fawn and coo and generally act like proud parents over it!
