Typhoon Morakot benefit concert at Shanghai Concert Hall

okaisingers.jpg There's already been high profile fundraisers in Hong Kong, and last Thursday 100 or so stars got together for a four-hour telethon, but if you were looking for a more down-to-earth, homespun way to help out the victims of Typhoon Morakot, check out this concert on Sunday.

The concert, held at the Shanghai Concert Hall, is organized by the EMBA students from three universities (Fudan University, Central Europe University and Taiwan National University) and will feature a group called "欧开OKAI" (ou kai OKAI, or Okai Singers). All proceeds from ticket sales will go to those who lost their homes or loved ones during the typhoon.

"欧开OKAI" is a Taiwanese aboriginal acapella singing group that has won awards in various international competitions. They are hoping to raise about 100,000 yuan in donations.

Concert tickets are divided into three types: 380RMB for section A tickets, 280RMB for section B tickets and 180RMB for section C tickes.

If you want to order, call 62894188 and ask for Liu Hong.
