Sweet jeebus, what's up with Friday of this week? It's like all of Shanghai's promoters got together and decided "You know what? We're going to put up a bunch of things and force Shanghai's music loving public to choose between us." You've got world famous Kardinal Offishall, jazz jammers The Greg Luttrell Band and some of our favorite Shanghai bands doing MJ tributes and more... all in one night.
Luckily, the next two days are slightly more chill, with less events going on. You get Britpop and a label launch on Saturday, and Greg Luttrell saying goodbye on Sunday. Phew.
FRIDAY
The creatively spelled Kardinal Offishall is playing at M1NT as part of his world tour for the release of his new album. You probably know him from that Akon song Dangerous. Wow, just saying that name's got that song stuck in our head now.

Or check out East District Power, a collective of guitar-playing singer-songwriters was founded by author and musician Liu Jian, at the other Live Bar for something perhaps a little sweeter and maybe easier to understand. They sing about love and other things.
