Our friends at Fly Films (who recently helped produce that whole Shanghai Rush thing) are now moving past reality and looking for character actors! They're now working on an English-language TV talk show (premiering on Star World) and they want people to populate it.
They'll be holding auditions in the next two weeks or so. What you need to bring is some pre-recorded short sketches and live comedy bits, as well as the ability to come up with your own sketch ideas and work with a writing team (under tight deadlines!) on scripts. Check out some of the possible characters they've come up with already:
Vince the Intern: An in-studio and skit character who is supposed to be an “actual” intern on the show. He's clumsy, awkward, nervous of the host and harbors secret desires to be famous.Blind French movie critic: The show's movie critic is a connoisseur of fine film, but has one major problem - he's blind. He overcomes this disability with the help of his trusty German assistant who describes what's going on on the screen.
Expats around Asia: While there are many expat types, the first one they're interested in is an English teachers who teach 6-year-olds as if they are college kids - yelling at them, disputing ridiculously complex grammatical points and teaching them words such as “homoeroticism.”
Pay is negotiable and based on experience. If you're interested, send your resume and contact info to ptraynor (at) flyfilms (dot) com.cn.

You are sorely mistaken if you think you can compete with Asia Uncut
I believe this might actually be for Asia Uncut.
Loving the blind movie critic and english teacher- hope it works as well on screen as on paper!
