Donate to victims of Typhoon Ondoy aka Ketsana

On a totally unrelated note to China, for those of you that are wondering what you can do to help victims of the tropical storm Ondoy (Ketsana), Red Cross Philippines is now accepting donations via Paypal at give@redcross.org.ph. And if you specifically wish to help children, donate online via UNICEF USA.

Right now, it's just scenes and scenes of utter devastation coming in from the land of 7,000 islands: Death toll has passed the 300 mark and the homes of an estimated 1.9 million people have been inundated. 25 provinces across the Philippines have been affected and even Metropolitan Manila has not been spared from the chaos, with "one month's worth of rain" falling in a single day. Meanwhile, Ondoy dumped 455mm of rainfall in Quezon City -- that's almost twice as much rainfall as Hurricane Katrina brought to New Orleans in just 24 hours!

Here in China, we saw what devastation looks like in the Sichuan earthquake of 2008. Now, it's time to help out a neighbour (and quit complaining about the rain).
