Shanghai traffic restrictions for National Day

We all knew this was coming - along with the 60th anniversary holiday, there was bound to be strict traffic controls. The Shanghai Public Security Bureau has given us the details about what we can expect: Traffic will be controlled everyday between today and October 4th from 3:30pm to 11:30pm.

For motor vehicles in Puxi: traffic will be restricted from Dong Daming Lu/Li Yang Lu cross street, along Liyang Lu - Zhoujiazui Lu-Haining Lu-Xizang Bei Lu - Xizang Zhong Lu - Beijing Xi Lu - ChengduBei Lu - Chongqing Nan Lu - Fuxingzhong Lu - Fuxing Dong Lu - to the Huangpu riverside area.

For motor vehicles in Pudong: Traffic will be restricted from Baibu Jie/Bingjiang Dadao Lu's intersection, through Baibu Jie - Lujiazui Central (North) - Lujiazui Central (South) - Shibu Lu - to the Huangpu Riverside.

Tunnels and bridges: There will be traffic control on the Yan'an Elevated Road, and its Xizang Lu exit and the entrance outside the Yan'an Dong Lu tunnel will be closed. Otherwise, everything is as normal. The Fuxing Dong Lu and Dalian Lu tunnels will be normal, though you will only be able to get off at the Fujian Lu stop if you get onto the Yan'an Elevated Road. Lupu Bridge, Nanpu Bridge and Yangpu Bridge will be normal as well.
