Shanghai Music Expo 2009: Ongoing through Friday
We love expos, especially when they're in Shanghai, and exceptionally when they involve music. Lucky for us, it's time for the Shanghai Music China 2009 Expo. Since 2002, Music China has been the trade show of choice for musicians, producers, sound/lighting technicians, and just about anyone involved in the production of music, making the expo the biggest annual fair for music products in Asia.
Major music brands from all over the world are in attendance: we're talking Warwick, Gibson, Electro-Harmonix, Taylor and D'Addario (to name a few), with booths set up boasting their latest products ready for the testing. It's a great opportunity to meet people in the industry, try out cutting edge materials, and even pocket a few namecards and promotional gifts.
The expo is being held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, which is just a 10 minute walk from the Longyang metro station. Although the first two days have been reserved for industry buyers only, Thursday and Friday are free admission to the public. We're definitely going: see you there?
