Shanghaiist Halloween Costume Contest!

If you're like us, you love Halloween so much that you look forward to it for weeks, dreaming about stuffing yourself with candy and scaring every man, woman and small child in your freak-out radius. But if you're really like us, then you've probably thought a LOT about your costume, but haven't taken the time to travel all the way to Party Monster for your costume, or even log on to Taobao to look for one. Well, it's high time to get on it, because our annual Shanghaiist Halloween Party will have the definitive costume contest in all of Shanghai!

That's right- amid the clamor and haunting of Halloween Rampage, in the midst of great DJ sets by your favorite DJs MNO, R3, Baijiu Robot and Kidplastik, amongst the carnage wrecked on Not Me's spectacular cityscape, we'll have a kickin' costume contest. Show us your best Chuck Norris or Chun-Li, and you might just win a Night at the exotically beautiful Shangri-La hotel, courtesy of our friends at Ctrip! And if you costume was pretty cool, but not quite cool enough, you can still win a 300RMB voucher from Sherpas, which is more than enough consolation fast food to hold you over until next year's contest.

Of course, all the cool kids will be at the zombie walk, so if you want a chance to size up the competition early (and get free entry!), be sure to meet us at 8:30 on Tianping Lu and Hengshan Lu.
