MAO Livehouse starts the weekend off early with the commencement of NO+CH, an annual concert series featuring a musical exchange between Sino and Nordic cultures. Concerts by Food, MoHa!, Pekka, and Fontan kick off NO+CH ’09, the focus of which is to being about cultural appreciation through experimental music. 40RMB cover for night, or 120RMB ticket for entire series.

Lured to Shanghai by the Yue Festival in Shanghai in 2007, YACHT returns to the city this Friday for another explosive performance. 24 Hours, a Beijing-based Indie/dance rock amalgam, hosts the party for the release of their new album, “No Party People” Halloween night.
